Stony
Brook University has a five-part mission:
to provide
comprehensive undergraduate, graduate, and professional education of the

The Laboratory Institute of Merchandising educates and
prepares students in the businesses of fashion merchandising, visual
merchandising, marketing, and management through an integrated, experiential and
creative approach utilizing the classroom, internships, and the fashion
industry at large.
LIM fosters understanding of the relevant issues facing
industry and the global community, engaging students in a concentrated
professional program, while simultaneously providing them with a solid
foundation in liberal arts.

For
over 100 years, Grace Institute has provided tuition-free, practical job
training in a supportive learning community for underserved New York area women
of all ages and from many different backgrounds. In the tradition of its
founding family, Grace is dedicated to the development of the personal and
business skills necessary for self-sufficiency, employability and an improved
quality of life.
